Khartoum, Jan. 29, 2026 (SUNA) – Al-Hilal team will host South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday at 9:00 p.m. at Amahoro Stadium in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali; the club’s temporary home venue, in the fourth round of the CAF Champions’ League group stage.Both sides are targeting a place in the quarter-finals, with each team collecting five points from three matches. The two teams previously drew 2–2 in Pretoria and currently top Group C, which also includes Saint Éloi Lupopo of the Democratic Republic of the Congo with four points and MC Alger of Algeria with one point.The match has drawn wide African attention given the strong performances displayed by both teams in the competition.The encounter will be officiated by an Egyptian refereeing team led by international referee Mahmoud Naji, assisted by Samir Gamal and Ahmed Tawfik, with Mahmoud Bassiouni as fourth official. Angesom Ogbarim of Eritrea will serve as match observer, while the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Rwandan Jules Karanja as general coordinator for the round.AS/BH
