Amman, Sept. 15 (Petra) – Al Oun Jordan Association for Alzheimer’s
Disease (AJAAD) convened a panel discussion on Tuesday at the King
Hussein Club in Amman.

Patronized by Alzheimer’s Disease International Global Ambassador and
AJAAD Honorary President HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein and attended by
HRH Princess Zein bint Al Hussein, the World Alzheimer’s Month
session focused on early diagnosis, caregiver support, and stigma
reduction under the theme “The Earlier You Know, The More You Can
Do.”

Princess Muna stated that detecting Alzheimer’s early is “critical”
to managing risk factors and improving quality of life for patients
and their families.

Society leaders echoed her message, adding that building an
inclusive, stigma-free community requires active collaboration across
the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development, educational
institutions, private sectors, and civil society.

Alongside personal accounts from family caregivers detailing their
daily demands, Health Minister Ibrahim Bdour and Social Development
Minister Wafaa Bani Mustafa presented official frameworks for senior
and dementia care.

On the sidelines of the event, AJAAD signed a cooperation agreement
with the Parkinson’s Care Association to unify resources and improve
specialized care for Jordanians living with neurological disorders.
