Amman, May 21 (Petra) – Mayor of Greater Amman, Yousef Shawarbeh, on
Thursday met with Georgian Ambassador to Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon,
Archil Dzuliashvili, to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation
and advancing joint municipal initiatives.
The meeting reviewed mechanisms to expand cooperation and partnership
between Amman and Tbilisi across various areas of municipal work and
urban development.
Shawarbeh highlighted the strong Jordanian-Georgian relations,
underscoring the continued cooperation between the two countries and
the Greater Amman Municipality’s commitment to deepening ties and
supporting joint projects serving mutual interests.
He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Amman
and Tbilisi in areas of shared municipal work, noting that such
collaboration would support sustainable development efforts, enhance
public services, and improve the quality of life for residents.
For his part, Dzuliashvili commended the Greater Amman Municipality’s
efforts to strengthen partnerships with friendly cities, praising the
level of progress achieved by Amman in the municipal, urban, and
cultural sectors.
He also lauded the Municipality’s development plans and
infrastructure projects aimed at improving services provided to the
capital and its residents.
