Arab Parliament rejects Houthi accusations against Saudi Arabia

Cairo, July 21 (Petra) – The Arab Parliament blasted on Tuesday the
recent remarks by the Houthis accusing Saudi Arabia of blockading the
Yemeni people and restricting maritime navigation.

Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi rejected the accusations,
calling them “provocative, irresponsible, and contradictory” to Saudi
Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian and financial support for Yemen.

Yamahi stated the parliament’s opposition to any threats or offensive
statements targeting Saudi Arabia, stressing that the country’s
security and sovereignty are integral to Arab national security.

He also called on the international community to enforce relevant UN
Security Council resolutions to safeguard Red Sea navigation and
deter actions threatening regional and international peace.
