Amman, July 21 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj.
Gen. Yousef Hunaiti met Tuesday with Chairman of the US Senate
Committee on Armed Services Roger Wicker and Ranking Member Jack Reed
during an official visit to the US.
Huneiti discussed expanding military and defense cooperation between
Jordan and the US, focusing on joint training, skill development,
information sharing, and capacity building.
The leaders also reviewed current regional developments and ongoing
efforts to counter security threats and promote stability across the
Middle East.
Huneiti pointed to the vital strategic partnership between the two
nations, stressing the need for continued coordination to strengthen
the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF)’s defense capabilities and
operational readiness.
