Beirut, May 24 (Petra) – Israeli airstrikes targeting the town of Sir
al-Gharbiya in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon killed 11
people, including a child and six women and injured nine others,
among them four children and a woman, the Lebanese Ministry of Health
announced Sunday.
In a related development, a Lebanese security official told Petra’s
correspondent in Beirut that one person was killed in an airstrike on
the town of al-Namiriya, while another was killed in a separate
strike targeting the town of al-Bazouriya in southern Lebanon.
The source added that one person was killed and two others injured in
an airstrike targeting a health team in the town of Arab Salim.
Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted several villages in the
Western Bekaa Valley.
