Khartoum, Jan. 28, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Khalid El-Eisir on Wednesday affirmed the strength and depth of Sudanese-Chinese relations during a reception of Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Xu Jian at the National Radio and Television Corporation headquarters in Omdurman.Al-Eisir highlighted Sudan’s longstanding partnership with China, describing it as a key supporter, and welcomed Mr. Xu Jian to Khartoum to demonstrate the city’s safety and stability.Mr. Xu Jian expressed admiration for the sacrifices of the Sudanese people, congratulated the return of the national unity Government of Hope to Khartoum, and stressed that peace will prevail. He reaffirmed China’s support, describing the two nations as “brothers and friends.”The visit included the Martyrs’ area, radio and television buildings affected by the conflict, the central market, Jackson bus station, and Friendship Hall.
