Cairo, May 24 (Petra) — Egypt has stressed the necessity of adhering
to the diplomatic path and prioritizing dialogue to ensure the
security and stability of regional nations and their peoples, as well
as guaranteeing the freedom of international navigation.
This came during a telephone call between Egyptian Minister of
Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Expatriates, Badr
Abdelatty, and the European Union High Representative for Foreign
Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, as part of regular
consultations to discuss regional developments.
Minister Abdelatty briefed the European official on the latest
updates regarding Egypt’s relentless efforts aimed at calming the
situation and reducing escalation in coordination with regional
partners.
For her part, the European official praised the role played by Egypt
in supporting regional de-escalation efforts, expressing her
readiness to continue coordination and consultation during the coming
period within the framework of the close relations between Egypt and
the European Union.
