Ankara, February 24 (QNA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkiye is pursuing a policy centered on peace, dialogue and negotiation at a time of escalating global tensions.
Erdogan said that his country is making efforts to ensure crises do not evolve into hot conflicts.
“At a time when tensions are escalating at the global level, especially as Turkiye, we are making efforts to resolve crises before they turn into hot conflicts with our policy that puts peace, dialogue and negotiation at the center,” Erdogan said.
He stated that Turkiye defends justice and speaks out courageously wherever necessary.
Erdogan added that Turkiye’s upright, courageous, sincere and principled stance in the face of developments is being followed with appreciation.
“In today’s world system, where severe tremors are taking place, Turkiye’s only objective is to increase the number of its friends and gain new ones,” Erdogan said.
“While we respect the sovereign rights of countries, we expect everyone to show respect for our rights and laws,” he added. (QNA)
