Amman, May 26 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call on
Tuesday from Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the
State of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
During the call, Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed discussed cooperation
relations between Jordan and Qatar and ways to further strengthen
them, in addition to regional developments and Pakistani mediation
efforts between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination to
support mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation, in a way that
contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
They also underscored the need for concerted efforts to ensure the
success of the mediation and to reach a comprehensive and sustainable
solution that addresses the root causes of the crisis and prevents
renewed tensions and escalation.
