Speaking at the opening of the 3rd GITEX AFRICA Morocco, Al Kuwaiti hailed the Kingdom’s vision, driven by the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in terms of innovation and digital transformation, expressing the United Arab Emirates’ willingness to support this digital ambition.
For the Emirati official, this third edition of GITEX Africa is an opportunity to highlight the strategic importance of AI, stressing the importance of promoting safe, ethical and secure technology, as well as cybersecurity, particularly in a regional and global context marked by accelerated digitalization.
In this respect, he deplored the fact that cyber threats cost the global economy billions of dollars every year.
It is in this perspective that “sovereign” AI should be integrated into the heart of government action, he pleaded, stressing that the public sector alone cannot meet this challenge. “A collective mobilization, based on public-private partnerships, is required,” he said.
