Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Ahmed Modawi Musa affirmed the state’s commitment to supporting public universities and improving staff wages, recognizing the essential role of academic staff in sustaining education despite difficult living conditions.During a meeting with vice-chancellors of the public universities, held both in-person and virtually, Prof. Ahmed Modawi stressed enhancing the quality of higher education, research, and outputs to meet development and labor market needs, encouraging e-learning, modern technology, and diversified university funding sources, including partnerships with regional and international organizations.University vice-chancellors pointed out that the additional support and the improvement of salaries constitute an important step toward strengthening the work environment within universities, in a way that contributes to supporting professors and staff and enables them to perform their duties toward students and society.BH/BH
