Al-Damazin, January 25, 2026 (SUNA) – The Governor of the Blue Nile Region, General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, inspected the regional headquarters of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, accompanied by Regional Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Abbas Abdullah Kara and the Governor’s Advisor for Mining Omar Al-Sheimi Al-Faki.The delegation was received by Company Director Dr. Mohamed Al-Rahima, who later joined Governor Al-Omda Badi in chairing a meeting reviewing mining sector performance in 2025 and plans for 2026. The Governor said the new plan aims to increase production amid improved security across the region and called for directing community responsibility allocations toward basic services.Minister Kara affirmed government support for mining operations, announcing the start of work with concession companies in ten new blocks and inviting investment in gold, chromium, and other sectors.AS/BH
