Port Sudan, 6-2-2026 (SUNA) – Commissioner of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), Ms. Salwa Adam Beneyah, commended the continued support provided by the Government and people of Turkey, as well as Turkish civil society organizations, in addressing Sudan’s current humanitarian needs.Speaking at a coordination meeting between the Federal HAC and the Federation of Islamic Civil Society Organizations, she highlighted incoming aid convoys carrying assistance across multiple sectors. She welcomed the Federation’s delegation to Sudan, emphasizing their role in assessing needs on the ground and supporting the country’s transition from emergency response to recovery. Ms. Beneyah called on Turkish business leaders to participate in the recovery phase and affirmed that all aid is distributed according to approved plans, with oversight from the relevant organizations. She described the delegation’s visit as crucial for ensuring accurate understanding of Sudanese humanitarian needs and overcoming misleading media narratives since the start of the war.The Chairman of the Board of Zu-El-Nourain Charity Organization, Dr. Emad-Eddin Bakri Abu Haraz, urged the Federation to support reconstruction and recovery efforts in education, health, water, and other critical sectors. Secretary-General of the Federation, Mr. Ayoub Iqbal, confirmed ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination with HAC and support immediate humanitarian needs as Sudan moves toward recovery.BH/BH
