Amman, May 20 (Petra) — Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu
Saud on Wednesday discussed with British Ambassador Philip Hall
efforts to address water sector challenges and secure water supplies
through sustainable projects, including the National Water Carrier.
Abu Saud said the government appreciates support by donor countries,
particularly the United Kingdom, in helping Jordan address water
challenges.
The British envoy expressed his country’s interest in expanding
cooperation and providing modern water management solutions. He also
said British companies and the private sector are ready to contribute
to the implementation of water projects.
He affirmed the UK’s support for Jordan’s plans to implement
sustainable water projects, foremost among these is the National
Water Carrier, commending the sector’s efforts and achievements in
addressing the country’s water situation.
