Jordan’s King, Indonesian President Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments

Amman, February 25 (QNA) – Jordan’s King Abdullah II held talks on Wednesday with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Amman, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional developments.

Discussions covered the situation in the Palestinian territories, with King Abdullah warning against escalating Israeli settlement activities in the West Bank and violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic channels to reduce regional tensions, as well as support for Syria and Lebanon in safeguarding their security, stability, and sovereignty.

President Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to achieving lasting peace based on a two-state solution, describing it as essential for regional stability.

He also expressed support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the implementation of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. (QNA)
