Mild Conditions Forecast Nationwide; Low-Lying Regions Expect Seasonal Warming Trend

Amman, May 24 (Petra) – Mild weather will prevail across most of
Jordan today, Sunday, while moderate temperatures are expected to
continue throughout the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Moderate northwesterly winds will blow nationwide, picking up at
intervals.

This atmospheric pattern will hold into Monday, maintaining mild
temperatures over the highlands and plains, while conditions will
turn relatively hot in the low-lying rifts and coastal Aqaba.

The Jordan Meteorological Department reported that this trend will
carry into Tuesday and Wednesday, keeping the mountainous and urban
zones moderate, while the southern valleys and coast see a steady
seasonal warming alongside occasionally brisk northwesterly winds.

Today’s temperature ranges place East Amman between 24 and 13 degrees
Celsius, and West Amman between 22 and 11 degrees Celsius.

The northern highlands will record a high of 20 degrees Celsius and a
low of 9 degrees Celsius, the Sharrah Mountains will see 21 and 8
degrees Celsius, the Badia desert regions 27 and 14 degrees Celsius,
and the plains 24 and 13 degrees Celsius.

In the warmer zones, the Northern Jordan Valley will range from 32 to
16 degrees Celsius, the Southern Jordan Valley will hit 35 and 19
degrees Celsius, the Dead Sea will record 34 and 18 degrees Celsius,
and the Gulf of Aqaba will reach a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius
before dropping to 20 degrees Celsius overnight.
