Khartoum, March 8, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Dirif met on Sunday with Mohamed Adam Arabi, member of the steering committee of the Red Crescent Society, delegated by the committee’s chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Bilal.The meeting discussed the legal status of the society following the repeal of the 2010 Red Crescent Society Act and the need to enact new legislation to regulate its activities and regularize its status in a manner that enables it to carry out its humanitarian work domestically and internationally.The Minister of Justice commended the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the society during the Battle of Dignity, and pledged to study the draft law previously submitted by the former steering committee.BH/BH
