Ould Errachid hailed the strong relations between Morocco and Chile, highlighting the momentum generated by HM King Mohammed VI’s 2004 visit to Chile, which helped position bilateral ties as a model of South-South cooperation.
He also praised Chile’s consistent support for Morocco’s autonomy plan for the Sahara, noting its backing at both government and parliamentary levels. He described Ossandón’s visit to Laayoune, coinciding with a delegation from the Andean Parliament, as highly symbolic.
For his part, Ossandón underscored the deepening parliamentary ties between the two nations and welcomed Morocco’s invitation to participate in the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum.
He also expressed Chile’s interest in expanding economic cooperation with Morocco, particularly in migration management, food security, and renewable energy.
