ABU DHABI, 1st November, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Education and Human Resources Council (EHRC), received in Abu Dhabi Dharmendra Pradhan, Cabinet Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the Government of India.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed friendship ties and the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and the various opportunities for cooperation it abounds in all fields, especially education.
They also reviewed prospects of bilateral cooperation in the education sector and the initiatives that resulted from them, including the recent announcement of the establishment of a branch of the Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi) in Abu Dhabi, making it the first branch outside India.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed the visit of Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, highlighting the deep-rooted UAE-India relations and their comprehensive strategic partnership in all sectors, underscoring the two countries’ keenness to strengthen and develop them sustainably.
For his part, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reaffirmed the depth of the historical relations between the UAE and India.
