Amman, May 26 (Petra)– Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for
Statistics announced on Tuesday that the total number of pilgrims
performing Hajj this year reached 1,707,301 pilgrims.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority said that
1,546,655 pilgrims arrived from outside the Kingdom through various
entry points, while the number of domestic pilgrims, including Saudi
citizens and residents, stood at 160,646.
The statistics also showed that male pilgrims accounted for 893,396
of the total number of pilgrims, while female pilgrims numbered
813,905.
Regarding pilgrims arriving from abroad, the authority said that
1,485,729 pilgrims entered Saudi Arabia through air ports, 54,429
arrived via land crossings, and 6,497 pilgrims entered through sea
ports.
