Amman, May 20 (Petra) – Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hassan bin
Talal and Princess Sarvath El Hassan on Tuesday inaugurated a sports
field at the Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS), named in honour of the
late Dr Ahmed Manko, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess
Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the School’s Board of Trustees.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Manko and Tabbaa
families, whose support helped fund the project, along with school

Princess Sumaya praised Dr Manko as a founding member of ABS and a
close associate of Prince Hassan, highlighting his lasting
contribution to the school’s vision and mission.

She commended Princess Sarvath’s longstanding leadership and role in
establishing ABS as one of the region’s leading educational
institutions.

School officials said the new field reflects the school’s commitment
to student well-being and development, providing a space that
encourages physical activity, social growth and creativity.

The event featured musical performances and student artwork presented
to members of the Manko family in appreciation of their support. The
ceremony concluded with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and
the official opening of the Dr Ahmed Manko Stadium.

Founded in 1981 under the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), ABS was the
