Amman, May 25 (Petra)– Qatar’s Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin
Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, extended congratulations to His Majesty
King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin
Abdullah II, and the Jordanian people on the 80th anniversary of the
independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In a video message published by the Qatari Embassy on its social
media platforms, Ambassador Al Thani expressed his best wishes to
King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Al Hussein, and the Jordanian people
for continued progress and prosperity.
“As you celebrate your country’s independence, we in the State of
Qatar its Emir, government, and people share your joy on this
great occasion,” Al Thani said.
The ambassador also expressed pride in being in Jordan, describing it
as his “second home.”
“I feel proud and honored to be among you in my second country, free
Jordan this authentic Arab nation, noble in its positions, wise in
its leadership, and generous through its people,” he added.
Al Thani praised Jordan’s achievements over the past eight decades,
saying, “For eighty years of independence, you have continued writing
chapters of dignity, pride, achievement, construction, prosperity,
and development in the story of your nation.”
He stressed that, following the challenges the region has witnessed,
this year’s Independence Day stands as “a symbol of Jordan’s
steadfast will and an example to the world in loyalty, resilience,
patience, and determination.”
