Doha, February 23 (QNA) – Al Sadd defeated Al Wakrah 3-1 on Sunday at Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Matchday 16 of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Al Sadd’s goals were scored by Pedro Miguel (9′), Brazilian Roberto Firmino (45+3′), and Spaniard Rafa Mujica (57′). Al Wakrah’s lone goal was netted by Moroccan forward Amine Zouhzouh in the 72nd minute.
This victory marks Al Sadd’s eighth consecutive win in the league, bolstering their position at the top of the standings with 35 points. Meanwhile, Al Wakrah’s tally remains frozen at 22 points, placing them seventh in the table. (QNA)
