Doha, June 21 (QNA) -Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced the enablement of cash withdrawal services using the tokenization feature of the national card “HIMYAN” via “Apple Pay” on ATMs in the State of Qatar, in line with the Third Financial Sector Strategy, and as part of Qatar Central Bank’s efforts to advance digital payment systems and services in the State of Qatar.
In a post published on social media platform X, QCB explained that this service allows customers to perform cash withdrawals and balance inquiries without the need to use the physical card, through ATMs that support the technology, whether owned by the card issuing bank or other banks within the country.
This initiative is introduced to further enhance the digital payment experience of the national card “HIMYAN”, improve security and customer convenience, and support the shift toward digital transformation in the payments sector in the State of Qatar. (QNA)
