Amman, July 22 (Petra) — Relatively hot weather conditions will
prevail over the highland areas and plains on Wednesday, while hot
conditions affect the Badia, and extreme heat continues across the
Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD).

Moderate northwesterly winds will blow across the country,
occasionally picking up in speed. Temperatures in eastern Amman will
range between a high of 35 degrees Celsius and a low of 24 degrees
Celsius, while western Amman will record 33 degrees Celsius during
the day, dropping to 22 degrees Celsius at night. Peak temperatures
in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will range between 42
degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius.

Similar conditions will persist through Thursday, with relatively hot
weather in highland regions and intense heat continuing in low-lying
and desert zones. Winds will remain moderate northwesterly, gusting
periodically across eastern desert areas.

A slight drop in temperatures will begin on Friday, bringing typical
summer weather to the highlands and plains, while the Badia
experiences relatively hot conditions. Severe heat will ease slightly
in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by the
appearance of low-altitude clouds and moderate northwesterly winds.

A further slight dip on Saturday will bring temperatures back down to
seasonal averages for this time of year, delivering comfortable
summer conditions over mountainous and high-altitude areas.
