Amman, May 24 (Petra) — National celebrations marking the 80th
Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan continued Sunday
evening at the Roman Theater in the heart of Amman, amid a large
public turnout and a patriotic atmosphere reflecting great pride in
the nation and its Hashemite leadership.

The evening’s program included rhythmic percussion performances and
oud recitals, alongside entertainment by roaming troupes with the
participation of the “Farha Urdoniyya” group. The “Madaba Heritage
Revival Forum” also delivered a traditional folklore showcase, which
was followed by interactive competitions for children.

Jordanian artists Hussam and Wisam Al-Luzi performed a live concert,
delivering a curated selection of patriotic and traditional songs
that resonated strongly with the audience. Concurrently, the musical
band performed various patriotic arrangements, drawing enthusiastic
applause and sing-alongs from the crowd.

The historic Roman Theater transformed into a festive national arena
symbolizing loyalty to the country and its leadership. Its courtyards
were heavily decorated with Jordanian flags, accompanied by
traditional chants and folk songs throughout the celebration’s
segments.

The national festivities are scheduled to continue tomorrow, Monday,
featuring a performance by the “Al-Ajawid” folklore troupe. The
celebration at the Roman Theater will conclude with a live concert
headlined by Jordanian singer Nedaa Sharara.
