Moscow, February 20 (QNA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its air defense forces shot down 149 Ukrainian drones overnight over various regions of Russian territory.
In a statement, the ministry said that 57 drones were downed over Bryansk Oblast, 28 over the Black Sea, 24 over the Sea of Azov, and 20 over the Crimean Peninsula, while 17 drones were intercepted over Krasnodar Krai, two over Rostov Oblast, and one over Belgorod Oblast.
This field escalation comes as the United States continues its diplomatic efforts, despite the latest round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia failing to produce tangible results toward ending the war that began between them in February 2022. (QNA)
