Ramallah, October 16 (QNA) – Six Palestinians were injured on Friday in attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against olive harvesters near Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society stated that its medical teams treated four individuals injured during a settler assault on civilians harvesting olives in the village of Burqa.
The Society added that its crews also treated two people, including a woman, who were beaten during a settler attack on olive harvesters in the village of Abu Falah, east of Ramallah, carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
In a related context, local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at civilians during a group settler attack on olive harvesters in Abu Falah to force them off their land.
Settler attacks against Palestinian farmers have escalated with the onset of the olive harvest season under the protection of occupation forces, involving physical assaults, gunfire, denial of access to farmland, crop theft, and the destruction of olive trees. (QNA)
