Port Sudan, January 25, 2026 (SUNA) – The Secretary-General of the Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad (SSWA), Dr. Abdel Rahman Sidahmed Zein Al-Abidin, announced the continuation of procedures for vehicle and baggage exemptions for expatriates at the Authority’s Port Sudan branch, in order to prevent any disruption to applicants until maintenance work at the Authority’s headquarters in Khartoum is completed. He said the Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad relocated to its main headquarters in Khartoum last week, noting that cleaning, maintenance, and temporary internal arrangements are already under way to prepare the work environment. These measures, he added, are part of preparations for the full transfer of the Authority’s operational functions to its Khartoum headquarters in the coming days.AS/BH
