Khartoum, Jan. 19, 2026 (SUNA) – The Committee for the Rehabilitation of Stadiums and Sports Squares and the Return of Sports Activity in Khartoum State held its third meeting today, chaired by Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam. All committee members were present.The meeting reviewed the condition of sports stadiums, recent field visits, and ongoing initiatives, while commending the cooperation of security forces, government agencies, the sports sector, media, and civil society.Brigadier (Police) Fath Al-Rahman Mohammed Al-Toum, police spokesperson and head of the media committee, announced the launch of a major campaign to clean and renovate Khartoum Stadium starting tomorrow. He urged public participation, emphasizing that football and other sports are key indicators of security, societal stability, and the return to normal civilian life following the effects of war.AS/BH
