Port Sudan, Jan. 12, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani, hosted a working dinner with Egyptian Ambassador Hani Salama to strengthen bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, transport, and reconstruction.The meeting, attended by port and railway officials, reviewed key projects including the Aswan-Abu Hamad railway link, road networks like Aswan-Kosti and Port Sudan-Adré, port rehabilitation, and digital transformation. The Minister emphasized Egypt’s role as a strategic partner in Sudan’s post-war rebuilding.Ambassador Salama affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Sudan, presenting a matrix of projects in transport and logistics.
