Khartoum, Jan. 25, 2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of Africa International University, Dr. Salma Abdel Jabbar Al-Mubarak, affirmed the state’s commitment to supporting the university, following directives from President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. She noted that all government institutions, including the Ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Higher Education, are facilitating the university’s operations and removing any obstacles to ensure continuity in its academic and administrative functions.Dr. Salma stated during today’s Board of Trustees meeting that the state has continued fulfilling its financial obligations to the university on schedule despite the challenges caused by the Rapid Support Forces’ insurgency. She praised the efforts of the university administration, faculty, and staff in resuming education and rehabilitating damaged facilities, including buildings, dormitories, classrooms, and essential infrastructure.She added that the university has returned to its main campus in Khartoum and reinstated administrative operations, with a comprehensive reconstruction plan supported by clear financial estimates to attract local and international assistance. The university will also continue holding academic conferences and strengthening regional and international partnerships to advance its educational mission in Africa and beyond.BH/BH
