TSC Member Nuwara Stresses Need to Unite Visions and Strengthen Social Peace in Eastern Sudan

Port Sudan, March 8, 2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir attended on Sunday evening the fourth annual Iftar of the Beja Congress Graduates Conference, in the presence of representatives of official and popular bodies and a number of community leaders in eastern Sudan.The TSC Member affirmed the government’s commitment to implementing the recommendations of the Beja Graduates Conference, noting that implementation has begun with the education axis. She said the next phase will witness work on the statute of the East Sudan Education Fund, to be followed by additional steps.Dr. Nuwara stressed the importance of unifying efforts and visions between grassroots members and leadership to ensure the effective and sustained implementation of plans and the achievement of the desired objectives, while intensifying efforts to strengthen reconciliation and sustainable social peace in line with the traditions and values of the people of eastern Sudan.She also urged the conference’s youth to enhance coordination in their work across the three eastern states and distribute roles according to specialization in various fields to reach clear recommendations that can be implemented.Dr. Nuwara paid tribute to the leaders of eastern Sudan and offered condolences for the late Sheikh Abdullah Kunna, praising his national contributions in addressing injustice and restoring rights to their owners.For his part, Mohamed Ali Kajar, Director General of the Red Sea State Ministry of Finance and representative of the governor, commended the significant efforts and roles played by the youth of the Beja Graduates Conference in providing services to citizens in the fields of health and education, as well as their commitment to strengthening social peace and repairing the social fabric in eastern Sudan.BH/BH
