Khartoum, March 29, 2026 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, was briefed on the performance of the Public Prosecution over the past period and its ongoing efforts to entrench justice and safeguard human rights.This came during his meeting at his office on Sunday with the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, Ms. Intisar Ahmed Abdel-Aal. The meeting reviewed the plans and programs being implemented by the Public Prosecution to advance justice and uphold the rule of law, in addition to field visits conducted by prosecution teams to a number of prisons in the states to assess inmates’ conditions.The meeting also addressed the extensive work undertaken by the Public Prosecution in investigating crimes and grave violations committed by the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia against civilians, as well as efforts to combat corruption, ensure accountability, and protect human rights.BH/BH
