Khartoum, March 5, 2026 (SUNA) – The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stated that the Mobile Command contributed significantly to directing and managing operations during the War of Dignity. He highlighted its valuable contributions to liberating the General Command and areas of Omdurman from the siege previously imposed by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.During his participation in the Mobile Command’s Holy Ramdan Iftar, Al-Burhan explained that the return of life to Khartoum represents a true revival of Sudan’s beating heart. He noted that the ongoing war in the Middle East is deeply saddening, stating that since Sudan has suffered the fires of war, it cannot encourage the continuation of conflict, killing, and destruction, calling on all fighters to lay down their arms.He also pointed to the great roles of the Gulf States and their generous support for Sudan, affirming the Sudan government’s solidarity with them and its condemnation of any violations against their peoples or infringement upon their sovereignty. The TSC President asserted that the government will not allow any group to speak on behalf of the Armed Forces or the Sudanese state regarding matters that do not concern them. He added that they will not accept any space of freedom or celebration to be exploited to harm Sudanese people, stating that the government will stand against the actions taken by a certain group and those who support them. He emphasized that Sudan also stands against anyone who encourages aggression against others globally. He concluded by stating that Sudan is a peaceful nation striving for peace, warning anyone who seeks to insult the Sudanese state that there will be no leniency and they will face the consequences.
