Port Sudan, 3 February 2026 (SUNA) – Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, called for forward-looking planning to rebuild and reconstruct Sudan with a renewed mindset.Speaking at the “Hope Festival” for Development and Reconstruction, organized by the Red Sea State at the Amal Hall in Port Sudan, The TSC Vic-President emphasized that the reconstruction process extends beyond material and infrastructural aspects to include revitalizing the spirit of the Sudanese people.Agar stressed the importance of unifying ideas and efforts and working as a single team to advance investment and economic activities, ultimately achieving the reconstruction of the country with fully Sudanese hands and minds.He highlighted the need to enforce laws to ensure regulation, development, and anti-corruption measures, affirming that the state is moving forward steadily. He noted that the war is nearing its end, making it essential to fortify the country against future conflicts through comprehensive development and social justice.The TSC Vice President praised the festival as a pioneering developmental, economic, and social event, aiming to build bridges of cooperation among the private sector, government entities, civil society organizations, and youth sectors, to enhance efforts toward development and reconstruction.BH/BH
