TSC Vice President Meets MSF Belgium Sudan Program Director

Port Sudan, Feb. 9, 2026 (SUNA) – Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar met on Monday with Ms. Cindrella Lamark, Sudan Program Director for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Belgium, who is currently visiting the country.Agar said the meeting reviewed current humanitarian priorities and potential support for medical and humanitarian activities in light of emerging needs across Sudan.He expressed the government’s appreciation for the services delivered to vulnerable populations and affirmed its full readiness to cooperate with the organization, commending MSF’s non-political approach, which he said strengthens its presence in Sudan.Ms. Lamark announced that MSF Belgium’s operations will relocate to the organization’s headquarters in Khartoum next March.The visit aims to meet MSF teams working in Sudan, reinforce coordination with the Sudanese government at both federal and state levels, and review progress achieved in humanitarian and medical interventions across the country.BH/BH
