Ankara, February 19 (QNA) – Turkiye called on the international community to take a firm stance against attempts by the Israeli entity to create a new reality in the Palestinian territories.
Spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Interior, stated that the Israeli entity’s recent decision to impose its sovereignty and expand settlement activities in the occupied West Bank constitutes a blatant violation of international law in all respects. He reaffirmed that Israeli violations of the ceasefire and obstruction of humanitarian aid harm the peace process and deepen instability in the region.
On February 8, the Israeli occupation government approved a set of decisions aimed at introducing changes to the legal and civil reality in the West Bank, to strengthen control over the territory and expand oversight and enforcement powers to include areas administered by the Palestinian Authority.
