Washington, October 16 (QNA) – US President Donald Trump affirmed on Friday that he has no intention of using nuclear weapons against Tehran, revealing that negotiations and communications with the Iranian side remain ongoing.
The US President made the remarks in an interview with ‘Newsmax’ news network.
Trump stated that he holds no intention of using nuclear weapons against Tehran, emphasizing that the United States has no need to resort to such an option.
Addressing reports regarding the potential deployment of the “Mother of All Bombs” (MOAB) against Iranian facilities, Trump clarified that the munition is not a nuclear weapon, describing it as a large conventional bomb.
The US President further revealed that Iran formally requested a cessation of American and Israeli strikes, noting that negotiations and communications between both sides remain active, adding that Washington is halting such actions considering the ongoing talks. (QNA)
