Doha, October 08 (QNA) – Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu confirmed that his team is ready to face Al Arabi on Friday in Week 5 of Doha Bank Stars League.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Lucescu emphasized the importance of the encounter and said the team’s objective is to secure victory and all three points.
He added that the match against Al Arabi will be challenging. They are a team that never gives up and fights until the final moment of every game. Their players also possess great physical strength, so Al Sadd’s players must remain fully focused to secure the win.
For his part, Al Arabi coach Contra Cosmin said: “The break provided an ideal opportunity to regroup and work diligently with the available squad over the past two weeks, focusing on enhancing the team’s technical and tactical aspects.
“Facing the league champions and the best team in Qatar over the last decade requires no extra motivation for the players. Everyone is enthusiastic to tackle such high-profile matches. The team aims to maintain the strong form shown at the start of season while focusing on better converting chances in front of goal into actual goals.
“I am familiar with Al Sadd and their coach. They are noted for high level of organization, aggressive pressing and having players capable of making a decisive impact. But we have a strong squad and a competitive mindset capable of defeating any opponent,” said Contra. (QNA)
