Tourism Board, VFS Global Sign Gulf Promotion Agreement

Amman, Oct. 8 (Petra) – The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) signed a
cooperation agreement with VFS Global to expand tourism promotion in
Gulf markets and attract more visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council
(GCC) countries.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a workshop attended by
representatives of travel and tourism agencies and other sector
stakeholders.

The JTB said Thursday the partnership is intended to draw on VFS
Global’s regional and international networks to support marketing
efforts in target markets.

Workshop discussions focused on joint promotional campaigns, tourism
packages tailored to Gulf visitors, and cooperation among
tourism-sector companies and institutions.

The VFS Global delegation also visited a number of tourism sites in
Jordan and met with industry stakeholders, including Royal Jordanian
and private-sector representatives, to discuss potential tourism
products and programs for Gulf markets.

The JTB said the agreement forms part of its efforts to expand
marketing partnerships and strengthen Jordan’s presence in Gulf
tourism markets.
